Thank you for the clarification and new direction. I am at a point of deciding if I will renew. While the content you have written to date has been thought provoking it has rarely given me clear direction. I think your most practical post all year has been “The Housing Catch-22: How to Secure an Italian Apartment Before Your Visa Is Approved”. It was clear and actionable. I had hoped to find more of this in your writing.

In addition, I have been disappointed that retirement visa options and locations and retirement age health insurance/health care options have gotten no attention. Malta showed up on the Discord list but nothing ever came of it. There are many of us of a certain age who desire to leave but know pursuing permanent residency and eventual citizenship will just not happen due to time limitations. And I am more and more aware health insurance may be the true limiting factor in choosing to retire abroad. I’d be interested to know before extending my subscription if addressing any of these issues is a priority in your new plan.

I hope perhaps some of your thinking can also be addressed in the upcoming Discord Zoom.

I will discuss this in the Q&A. I appreciate the honest feedback, I’ll discuss what is going to unfold going forward and then you can make your decision cleanly. :)

All the best with the recalibration: sounds like a good idea. I'm already an expat with no intentions of returning, so while the well-considered alarms are always interesting, I was sold on that part long ago. The focus on putting new developments in clear context and on roadmapping can represent real added value.

Thanks for the accounting. I think giving your subscribers the pathway and mechanics to generate real options will be most useful. Some of us don’t necessarily want to leave. But we might like the option of being able to. I hope you’ll be able to help us develop those real options. Thanks.
