This will be a quick post—but an important one. Over the past few days, I’ve been gathering more data, parsing legal opinions, and reviewing statements from immigration attorneys and judicial sources across Italy.

And I’m revising my earlier conclusion about how “impossible” it will be to obtain citizenship as a more distant relative. The situation may not be as final—or as hopeless-as it first appeared.
